come on over! would love to have you as my neighbhor

k swap is too much work, too much money, it costs like 4-5 thousand dollars for just the engine (maybe trans) from a website. ( i dont trust engines from private sellers)

and then i still have to do tremendous fabrications, shift linkage, axles, computer etc etc etc - its just too much of project for me to commit to at my current salary level and stuff

whereas with simple mounts, shift linkage, and axles the b16 drops right in, easy as pie.

plus at the moment i dont have a garage or anything so i'm literally gonna be turbo charging my car in the parking lot LOL

also if i smoke my motor i plan on most likely keeping the b16 straight motor, and using the turbo stuff to sell it off (who knows what i'll decide later)

but honestly my engine is in EXTREMELY good shape mechanically and its not going to be alot of boost on a huge turbo, so i think it will last long enough for me to finish the car, and then after this car i'm probably just gonna buy something much nicer to start. getting kinda tired of this building up from scratch thing. probably buy a 5th gen prelude w/ h22a4 or jump into an accord v6 - something midsized and more comfortable with 4 doors from the get go

i'm going to buy a whole new one from here

http://www.hamotorsports.com/socketedp06.html

you can have these guys do ANYTHING you want ecu wise, so i'm going to just buy a fresh one custom mapped for a d15b7 with a t3 etc etc etc

i'm pretty sure it will be slow as hell still, i'm basing that off a guy that did an almost identical run as me and he ran like a 15 sec 1/4 mile, and he looked like he was a decent driver too. he said he was putting down 176hp and about 130-140 to the wheels

here's the video i'm basing my hypothesis off of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On57tQJjJEU

manifold i'm using is in the picture, i'm not sure what its off of, but its a oem honda manifold that a t3 was bolted up to, i believe you can use a 89 crx si exhaust manifold to get the job done

Smile Re: '94 U.S. Civic EG (D15B7)

just ordered this today, should receive it in a week or two, and then i can finally start the turbo-charging process. i've also decided to not insure the civic for the next 6 months because that will save me like 300 dollars and i can use that to order injectors/fuel pump etc, stuff that i dont have yet

Has become a "garage" queen?
If that's the situation, it's a smart choice, otherwise...

LOL pretty much, except its the more gangster version in that she is now a "parking lot" queen lol. yes that is correct, i'm turbo charging it in the parking lot. i got a couple pics coming of some stuff done so far

i wish i had a garage to work in that way all this annoying rain would stop keeping me from making progress!!

How about a shopping mall garage?

I know it's a little bit funky but it's a solution. In Romania, it's something that we do sometimes.
