Been looking to ditch the heavy oem HID packs for a while now cause they weigh a fooking ton and are in the worst possible place for weight to be ie. up the very front and sitting high.Now you could just get 97 spec headlights but the reflector inside is not designed for HID and the sharpness of the beam isn't as good and plus the casing of the 98 SPEC ones have a bit of extra concealing space for the aftermarket hid packs. So picked up this coversion kit si am inceput treaba.

Am facut un scut subtire sa protejeze heatwrapul de pe galeria de evacuare
si am inlocuit the exhaust centre section with a 2.5" diameter section down from 2.75" for better flow balance

Ai intrat ca lumea balasturile alea in far, si este totul OEM acum apropo, am vazut ca ai ratat suportii aia de tabla de la vechiul HID, da-le jos ca sunt grele

Iar Recaro ala, ce sa mai zicem, e usor al naibii. Ai numai grija sa nu te mai ingrasi ca nu mai intri in el

P.S. Astazi mi-au ajuns si mie piesele, sa sti ca arata foarte bine. O sa-mi mai omor si eu timpul sambata

Da a trebuit sa le invirt putin pe-acolo pana au shedat calumea,si corectie daca te uiti calumea ala nu se poate da jos ca ie suport de far dar o sa tai din iel ma uitam la iel chiar astazi

Bit more of an update

Trimmed the extra metal off the headlight supports and weighed the HID's for an exact weight,4kgs













Got my k24 steel oil sump and fitted ,if this gets a smack it won't crack like the aluminium one will and it's 11mm shorter giving some much needed extra ground clearance





Had to cut the end off the old sump to fill in the remaining gap as the steel sump is different in shape at the bottom of the flywheel

Nu am mai scris de vreo vreme si am zis sa mai pun ceva,

Grinded down the rear panel to get it ready for sealing







Am folosit hammerite waxoil to seal it







The rear under body braces and ARB were in bad need of refurbishing so went ahead and grinded them down to the metal and sprayed them red,did'nt turn out too bad at all

Ie complet dezbracata am facuto mai devreme, Da mersi nau iesit rau deloc.Si ieu la fel o sa fie o zi interesanta
