ok so i dont know about your specific situation cause they dont have oltcit's here in america, but talked to my buddy that works for Action Performance in daytona beach, FL. this dude KNOWS HIS STUFF.
basically here is the scoop on the dynamics of turbochargers:
for everyones knowledge: UNLESS YOU HAVE A BALL BEARING TURBO. DO NOT USE A OIL FEED LINE RESTRICTOR!!! THEY ARE FOR BALL BEARING TURBOS ONLY.
also: the high swooshing noise that my turbo is making are the wheels rubbing on the housing. ITS BAD. the turbo is officially bad. in fact it was bad when it was on my buddys car
i've read countless threads all over the internet on honda tech etc. and had people tell me that its totally fine just put a restrictor on it, this post from honda-tech sums it up perfectly:
"I don't think you need a restrictor for a t3-I think people see smoke because they have used or junk turbos, and the restrictor just makes the turbo stop smoking by starving the bearings."
