Artist's impression of B-Class: Insiders say that the new A-Class will not be offered in the USA. For American buyers, an all-new model, built on the C-Class platform and known as CST (Compact Sports Tourer) is under development. A scaled-down version of the GST (Grand Sport Tourer, a luxury saloon/4x4 crossover), it is said to be of a similar size to the Chrysler PT Cruiser, and it's likely to share its platform with Chrysler's replacement for that model. The CST will not be offered in Europe.
