Boyd a murit in spital. Avea diabet iar in urma unor probleme medicale a fost operat, au aparut ceva complicatii post operatorii si din pacate nu a mai rezistat 
Nu a facut mereu numai lucruri bune, ca orice om are si partile lui bune si rele, nu multi stiu ca a fost cautat de fisc pentru frauda [ toate masinile create de el erau considerate obiecte de antichitate reconditionate si nu aveau nevoie sa treaca echivalentul RAR-ului romanesc ].
Oricum, este un personaj marcant al universului Hot Road. La fel ca si voi am urmarit toate emisiunile American Hot Road, din unele am mai invatat cate ceva, iar in altele am urmarit pur si simplu cum se face o masina de la zero.
RIP BOYD CODDINGTON!
