Audi A7 Test Mule Spied

Seen here during road testing in Ingolstadt, the city that plays home to Audi HQ, this Audi A7 mule has been buried under the body of the A6. We can see some elongating done at the rear wheel wells. The interior looks different from the A6 as well, with the navigation system integrated in between the air vents.

Knocking down the recently-facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class will be no easy task for Audi. Many say the CLS has shown that there is a demand for customers who want a coupe, but with four doors instead of two. The executive sedan, basically a stretched E-Class, will soon be met by heavy competition from the Aston Martin Rapide, Jaguar XF, Peugeot 608, and Porsce Panamera. Even BMW is jumping into the fray with the LC5, a stretched version of the 6-series.

Amongst this field, the proposed Audi A7 will try to play King of the Hill when it comes out at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009. Engine choices will reportedly include 3.0 and 4.2 liter petrol machines, a 2.7 liter TDi, and a 4.2 liter diesel V8.

care este segmentul ei in piata?
un audi a8 putin mai mic&ieftin...asta este tot ce pot spune de aceasta masina.

mie unul mi se pare o masina fara sens.prima data am crezut ca e un rival pt CL si M6 dar acuma vad ca e cu totul altceva.cam aiurea miscare de la audi :rolleyes2

nu e de ajuns ca a6 e aproape identic cu a8 ? a mai aparut si a7.. in cazul asta fara suparare, lipsa de imaginatie...

masina va fi un concurent pentru CLS.. :-) deci trebuie sa o pregateasca bine :D

eu zic sa asteptam finalul si dupa aia sa vorbim.banuiesc ca se gandesc si ei ca ar fi cam aiurea sa faca un model izbitor de asemanator cu seria 6 si 8.oricum mi se pare o clasa mai putini interesanta asta de limuzina coupe.whatever.

A7 va fi rival pt MB CLS %co...sigur nu o sa arate ca in poze pt ca ala e un a6 cu interior de a8...ei doar au pus platforma tehnica sub caroserie de a6 pentru niste teste nicidecum ca va arata asa...eu sunt destul de sigur ca va fi o masina foarte frumoasa in varianta finala :)

Eu apreciez berlinele sport cunoscute si drept "coupe cu 4 usi" - nu au masivitatea unui A8 sau S-Klasse sau Seria 7 si nici nu sunt kitschuri de categoria grea ca SUVurile :)

nu stiu ce sa zic despre articol si poze...cert e ca eu nu prea cred ca cei de la Audi vor lansa o masina noua...A7 in cazul de fatza...bazata in proportie de 85% pe design-ul lui A6 care va fi inlocuit anul acesta de un model nou, mult mai aspectuos..ce ar insemna asta? Ca vor sa scoata o masina noua dar cu un design deja rodat? Cine si-ar dori asa ceva? Sa cumpere o masina care la prima vedere sa para un A6 vechi sau pt un necunoscator sa para un vesnic A6 vechi... Spun asta pt ca...sa fim seriosi...toata lumea pune un mare accent pe aspectul exterior al masinilor...nu doar pe echiparea interioara sau pe restul gadget-urilor...iar A7 nu cred ca va avea vreun motor extraordinar in exclusivitate ca sa zici ca il iei pt motivul respectiv...va fi 3.0 , 4,2 TDI si benzinarele specifice Audi..plus quattro evident...

o mutare foarte neinspirata de cei de la audi, pt ca nu vad nimic deosebit in avortonul lui A6&A8

vei vedea cand va fi gata pt ca va fi un 4-door decapotabil. ca un cls/passat cc numai ca decapotabil
