BMW CS Concept
 

BMW has already admitted plans to developing an X6 SUV crossover type vehicle which adopts the 4-door fastback coupe design first seen in the Mercedes CLS-Class. Now, BMW takes us by surprise by unveiling at the Shanghai motor show the CS Concept which is exactly as described, but without the SUV part.
More akin to the Aston Martin Rapide or Porsche Panamera, this latest creation from BMW Director of Design Chris Bangle shows his latest version of the much criticized yet highly copied design technique called flame surfacing.

The CS Concept looks amazing from all angles except the front. The bonnet front lip rolled into the over sized kidney grille combined with the flame surfaced front fascia evoke images of a pampered middle aged woman who's had too much plastic surgery. With the potential of being an 8 Series successor, hopefully BMW will be more traditional with the front end.

Autoweek.com reports that an M version would receive a 6.0 liter V12 based off the engineering principles of the M5's V10, just with an addition two cylinders. The most recent example of this theory is the M3 V8 engine but minus two cylinders.

Din cate am citit eu pe alte site-uri au abandonat proiectrul acesta din cauza crizei mondiale.

bordul ala... zici ca e un aragaz vechi. si se auzea ca va fi lansat iar seria 8 si erau aceleasi poze

Nemtii astia sunt la fel toti. Cred ca designerii cazanului asta s-au strans toti asa intr-o seara la gura sobei si-au zis: "hai c*aie sa facem o masina noua". BUN! Apoi au montat un sasiu pe masura, suspensii peformante, o bijuterie de motor (nu prea fiabil, ce-i drept) etc. Apoi, dupa indelungi discutii, pumni in cap si bile cu manta au decis: "c*aie, e prea frumoasa, hai s-o uratim un pic". Multiplicati cu 8 discutia asta si va iese acest concept de sub mana lor creatoare. Cum naiba reusesc nemtii sa faca masini bune si cu aspect sters, dar ok, si masini f puternice dar urate cu crengi?
Masina asta pur si simplu n-are nicio noima. La ce foloseste umflatura aia de langa schimbator(prelungirea alba din bord)??? Au facut volanul ala (frumos dealtfel) si (urmand povestea) i-au traznit si 2 dungi albe pe el, si, cireasa de pe tort, si-un dãrab de pleu in mijloc.
O ultima chestie care ma chinuie: pe unde-mi vine caldura la sfarcuri cand invart de roatele alea de aragaz? Ca eu nu vad nicio gaura cat de cat primitoare prin zona.

O fi doar un concept, dar cu concepte de-astea viitorul nu suna bine deloc. Ma rog, la bmw m-am obisnuit deja.

Mi se pare mie sau aduce a Aston Martin Rapide dintr-o parte, chiar si cu Porsche Panamera. In continuare subscriu ce a scris Ionut.
