Zvonurile despre viitorul Scirocco continua sa circule. Se pare ca acesta va fi lansat in 2008 si va fi construit pe platforma viitorului Golf VI. Echipa de design va fi coordonata de Murat Günak si are ca inspiratie vechiul Scirocco. Dintre motoarele care se pare ca vor fi puse pe Scirocco: - 1.4 TSI (twin-charger) de 140 si 170 de cai putere - 2.0 TFSI (200 hp) - VR6 (disponibil probabil dupa 2009) - 2.0 bi-turbo sau twin-charger (nu se stie exact) ce va dezvolta ~300 de cai. |

The Ferrari 430 Scuderia will be unveiled on the 11th of September 2007 at the Frankfurt Auto show by none other than Michael Schumacher. The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coupe and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari's Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars. The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver. The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the standard F430 – and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm. Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest F1 software - Superfast – which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system. Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari's achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars. The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher on September 11 2007 at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt. |

MOLSHEIM, France — Bugatti is planning to launch a targa version of its $1.9 million EB16.4 Veyron in 2008.
The new car will be assembled in limited numbers alongside the existing coupe version of the EB16.4 Veyron at Bugatti's showcase factory here. The Veyron Targa is expected to receive a glass roof engineered by German specialist Webasto — the same company responsible for the Volkswagen Eos's folding aluminum and glass hardtop. The laminated panel is removable but cannot be stowed on board, according to insiders, because of the EB16.4 Veyron's tight packaging. As a result, Bugatti plans to equip the new car with an expandable piece of fabric that can be clipped into place to keep rain and sunshine at bay. To help compensate for the added weight brought on by modifications to strengthen the EB16.4 Veyron's windshield and other necessary changes to its underbody structure, the new Targa will receive carbon-fiber doors and hood. Other modifications include a slightly restyled grille and headlamps incorporating an adaptive function that sees them swivel in tandem with the front wheels. The same changes will be brought over to the coupe, say Inside Line sources. As a result of its altered aerodynamic properties, Bugatti plans to limit the EB16.4 Veyron's top speed to 350 kph (217 mph), some 35 mph shy of the coupe's 407-kph (253 mph) maximum. But even at that speed, it will be able to claim the title of world's fastest open-top car. What this means to you: Predictions of an early demise for the breathtakingly expensive Bugatti EB16.4 Veyron have proven wrong. Sales remain strong, and with a Targa version on the horizon, the company's target of 350 sales over six years looks to be well on track. |
