Legal Racing a beneficiat de cel mai bun sistem de cronometrare pentru acest tip de curse. Tagheuer probabil cele mai bune din lume.
Exista un semafor de start. Cand el arata 00 masinile plecau contra timp pana la cei 400m stabiliti .
La sosire la 400m existau doua seturi de celule, cate un set pentru fiecare culoar un set.Cand masina ajungea cu cea mai avansataparte frontala in dreptul celulei aceasta inchidea masurarea timpului si afisa pe masina de calcul, tiparind si pe rola de timpi.
Nu s-a folosit set de celule la start pentru ca asa avantajul masinilor puternice devenea si mai evident.
S-a introdus factorul uman timpul de reactie la start.
