cat am fost in romania acuma in octombrie, am vazut un prowler galben in bucuresti, pe la piata romana.

si mie imi placea cum aratau cand au aparut pe piata, dar cum in america de nord nu veneau decat cu cutie de viteze automata si un v6 anemic, nu s-au vandut bine de tot

Corvette ZR-1

"King of the Hill" asta era numele intern in GM si intre fanii ZR1

Zr-1 avea motorul de 5.7 V8 de la chevrolet dar dezvoltat impreuna cu inginerii de la LOTUS.

ZR-1 motor statistics:

* Designation: LT5
* Configuration: V8, 350 cu. in., four overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder
* Intake: Multi-port fuel injection
* Compression Ratio: 11.0:1
* **********: 375 @ 5800 RPM (1990 to 1992)
405 hp @ 5800 RPM (1993 to 1995)
* Torque: 370 lb-ft @ 4800 RPM (1990 to 1992)
385 lb-ft @ 5200 RPM (1993 to 1995)
* Bore/Stroke: 3.90" (99 mm.) x 3.66" (93 mm.)
* Block: Aluminum; Nickasil coated cylinder liners
* Heads: Aluminum, cross flow

Un sistem f ingenios , care intrerupe functionarea a 8 din cele 16 injectoare, impreuna cu 16 din cele 32 de supape, la turatii de sub 3500 rpm si daca pedala de acceleratie era sub jumatate din cursa. Acest sistem era proiectat sa reduca consumul de combustibil in momentele in care nu era nevoie de full power.

Remarcabil pentru anul 1990 , atit puterea de 400 cp (in acea vreme Ferrari testarossa avea 380 cp) cit si suspensia, reglabila electronic .
Optiunea permitea selecatrea a 3 moduri de lucru a amortizoarelor. Comfort - sport si pentru Circuit "performance". Amortizoarele sunt umplute cu un fluid magnetic, care la anumite intensitati ale curentului ce trecea prin acel fuid acesta isi modifica viscozitatea..... abia in zilele noastre ferrari incepe sa aplice la modelul 599 gtb.

mai sunt cateva aspecte remarcabile, dar nu are rost sa o lungim, de ex faptul ca era capabil de o acceleratie laterala mai mare decat ferrari F40 (cea mai rapida masina de serie din lume in acel moment), sau faptul ca detine vreo 5 recorduri mondiale care stau si azi in picioare , la capitolul viteza medie / diferite curse.

am vazut ieri un corvette nou nout in cluj...semana cu cel din poze dar modelul mai nou, parea ultimul
eu m`as multumi cu un suba sti wrx sau ceva old school
