renault gtx 16 valve??

I have a 1.7 gtx and have the opportunity to buy a fresh 16v head so is it possible to fit a F7P head on f type block? I was going to get my head ported and polished but i can get this head cheap and has already had a lot of work done on it.

if you could help me i would be very grateful.

why don't you check out a renault parts store and ask for a F7P - cylinder gasket and an F type block - cylinder gasket and see if they match
then ask the storekeep about the distribution ( chain / belt ) and if it's the same as yours it might match
and don't forget to ask your mechanic about this procedure!
