already mentioned earlier, its too old, everything about that turbo is shot, for me to do it myself its just out of the question, all the bolts are fused or stuck etc etc

also my friend says the sound its making is the wheels hitting the housing, and if that is the case its done for, cannot be fixed

EXACTLY, the only problem is that its 100miles away from me on the east coast of florida in a place called sunrise. but at least its right next to the highway so as soon as i see civilization again past the everglades then i'm there, plus it doesn't take that long to get there, just 1 hour, for a totally free garage and the support of the owner (he has a hatch) i'll gladly drive an hour.

frustrating update (for me, i wanted to get more done):

removed old turbo finally, began install of new turbo. total #$%#$%ing nightmare, had to re-engineer the entire thing, ended up taking everything apart and putting it back together, had to clock compressor side, bearing section was upside down from dumbasses that manufactured it, then once all thats done they cheaped out and instead of putting 3 regular brackets and then a internal wastegate bracket, they made some half assed combo deal where the wastegate bracket IS the 3rd compressor housing clamp. needless to say that ELIMINATES the possibility of clocking the compressor to where you need it which is pointless!!!

problems:

(besides taking forever to get the car jacked up and ready, i spent ALL DAY messing with the new turbo and never even got it completed due to the following)

1.V band flange on downpipe is too big, have to order new flange and clamp, then have welder replace current flange on D/P with new one, have to order this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-5-inch-V-B...16af61&vxp=mtr

2. then i have to order this to replace the current ghetto crappy actuator bracket that wants to point the actuator rod straight up and away from the baffle connection point:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en

3. have to order some compressor housing clamps to make sure everything is nice and tight and hooked up right:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/T3-Compresso...40a4f2&vxp=mtr

update: ordered #3 last night off ebay for 5 bucks shipped to my house. gotta wait til we get groceries but then i'm gnna order #2 after that, and #3 after next paycheck, i'm getting a cat tomorrow so i gotta spend some cash on that and wife to keep her happy, but at least i got a raise at work

higher pay grade = more money for parts
